Sunday, April 2, 2023, Pastor Paul Speight will be preaching from James 3:5b-12. We encourage you to prepare for Corporate Worship by reading and praying through the text prior to the message.

HRF INSTITUTE CLASS

Join us this Sunday at 10AM in the Fellowship Hall as we continue the series on, "Christ In The Old Testament," this week we will be going over Ezra/Nehemiah.

NEW CITY CATECHISM #14

For the week starting April 2, 2023.

Question: Did God create us unable to keep his law?

Answer: No, but because of the disobedience of our first parents, Adam and Eve, all of creation is fallen; we are all born in sin and guilt, corrupt in our nature and unable to keep God’s law.

UPCOMING EVENTS

  1. HRF WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY - Please join us April 3, 2023 from 6PM-8:30PM in the Fellowship Hall for a great time in the Word. From 6-6:30PM we will have the Fellowship Hall open for anyone who would like to bring your dinner before the study or to sit in some quiet before we begin - We will then start at 6:30PM and end at 8:30PM.

  2. EASTER SUNDAY - Sunday, April 9 at 10AM, we will not have institute classes, HRF Students or HRF Kids. However, there will be childcare available for birth - 3 years during corporate worship service.

  3. PASSOVER SEDER - Families are welcomed to join us on April 15, 2023 at 4PM in the Fellowship Hall for a Passover Seder. Please RSVP by April 1st.

  4. CARE NET WALK4LIFE - Care Net Peninsula’s Walk 4 Life is on Saturday, May 13 at Newport News Park. All are invited to walk with those in the community committed to saving babies and helping moms who find themselves in a pregnancy crisis. It will be a fun family event with activities for kids, a food truck and live music! Since this event is Care Net’s biggest fundraiser, a few members from our church will be fundraising as a team leading up to the walk. They would love a few more individuals who are interested in fundraising with them. Please see Erika Speight or Sandy Johnson for more information!
