WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
UPCOMING SERMON
Sunday, August 20, 2023, we will continue the seven week series on “Prayer.” We will examine what prayer is, what it looks like both personally and corporately, and a few different types of prayers (adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication). Pastor Paul Speight will preach from Psalm 138. We encourage you to prepare for Corporate Worship by reading and praying through the text prior to the message.
HRF INSTITUTE
Join us this Sunday at 10AM in the Fellowship Hall. We are currently teaching on, "Christ In The Old Testament," this week we will be going over Obadiah.
NEW CITY CATECHISM #34
For the week starting August 20, 2023.
Question: Since we are redeemed by grace alone, through Christ alone, must we still do good works and obey God’s Word?
Answer: Yes, because Christ, having redeemed us by his blood, also renews us by his Spirit; so that our lives may show love and gratitude to God; so that we may be assured of our faith by the fruits; and so that by our godly behavior others may be won to Christ.
Scripture Memory Verse: 1 Peter 2:9-12
