HRF Weekly Update - October 22, 2017

This Sunday, October 22, 2017, we will continue our series through the book of James. Pastor Miguel will be preaching from James 3:1-12

We encourage you to prepare for corporate worship by reading and praying through the text prior to the message on Sunday. Here is a list of the songs we will be singing this Sunday as well.

Here are a few discipleship resources our elders recommend checking out this week.

  1. How To Train Your Dragon - Sin is not a pet. We can (and must) by the Spirit’s power, put sin to death.
  2. Depth With God - When our faith is tested, we are forced into one of two positions: either coldness of heart, or true depth with God.
  3. 12 Ways To Preserve Christian Unity - Satan hates God and therefore he hates God’s people, the church. His great plan for the church is to cause Christians–true believers who ought to be together in the gospel–to find ways of disagreeing among themselves, to divide, to be bitter and jealous, and ultimately to “bite and devour one another” (Gal. 5:15). Here are twelve ways that you can repulse Satan’s attacks.

Please read them and use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another. You can also view an archive of recommended discipleship resources here.
