HRF Weekly Update - November 26, 2017

This Sunday, November 26, 2017, we will continue our series through the book of James. Pastor Tony will be preaching from James 5:1-6

We encourage you to prepare for corporate worship by reading and praying through the text prior to the message on Sunday. Here is a list of the songs we will be singing this Sunday as well.

Here are a few discipleship resources our elders recommend checking out this week.

  1. The Hidden And Revealed Will Of God - There are some things in the will of God that man cannot know. That belongs to God. But there are other aspects of God's will that He reveals to us in His Word to obey. That is the revealed will of God.
  2. How Not To Stay Lukewarm - You may think you're a Christian but actually be lukewarm. Here's how not to stay lukewarm.
  3. Do you Pray Like A Nonbeliever? - True Christians do not pray for less than what nominal Christians pray for. They pray for more — infinitely more. The heartbeat is always that the supremely treasured Christ be supremely magnified in answer to every prayer.

Please read them and use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another. You can also view an archive of recommended discipleship resources here.

We are excited to announce an opportunity to encourage us women to all press forward towards Christ together! Next year, HRF will be hosting a Women's Retreat for the women of HRF. The theme for the 2018 HRF Women's Retreat will be "Gospel, Safety, Time" and should serve as an opportunity for us all to better understand the role we each play in our responsibilities towards one another and cultivating a healthy gospel culture within our church body.
