HRF Weekly Update - March 18, 2018

This Sunday, March 18, 2018, Pastor Tony will be preaching from 2 Corinthians 1:3-5.

We encourage you to prepare for corporate worship by reading and praying through the text prior to the message on Sunday. Here is a list of the songs we will be singing this Sunday as well.

Here are a few discipleship resources our elders recommend checking out this week.

  • Three Types of Evangelistic Contexts - Few things are more enjoyable than being in partnership with the God of the universe and sensing in your life that he is loving others to himself through you! Here are three types of evagelistic contexts.
  • De(com)pression - Many in the church suffer with depression and the questions it raises. Aren’t Christians always supposed to be happy? So is it sinful to be depressed? Listen here.
  • Listen. It’s a Ministry - The very word “ministry” conjures up images of preaching, teaching, writing, talking, and counseling. But to minister to someone is simply to serve and love them. And a quiet, neglected, little-talked-about way we serve and love others is by listening to them.

Please read them and use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another. You can also view an archive of recommended discipleship resources here.

HRF will be hosting a Membership Matters class on April 8, 2018 from 1pm - 4pm.

This class is an introduction to our church and the responsibilities of membership. Although it is required in order to become a member of HRF, in no way does participating in the class obligate you to join HRF. We also recommend that existing members attend this class once a year as a refresher on what membership involves in the life of HRF. Lunch and childcare will be provided.

Please RSVP here if you plan to attend.
