HRF FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
We are excited to announce that Fellowship Groups have resumed. These groups will run from January through March 2017. Fellowship groups are one of the best ways to get connected to fellow members at HRF and also serve to facilitate discipling relationships with other members by helping them to take personal responsibility for each other's spiritual growth.
Please take a moment and select which Fellowship Group you would like to join for the Winter 2017 term (January - March 2016) by signing up here.
WEEKLY DISCIPLESHIP RESOURCES
Here are a few discipleship resources our elders recommend checking out this week. Please read them and use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another.
- How To Love When You Don’t Feel It
Should I wait until I feel like loving my neighbor before I do it? Should my feelings play a role in obedience? Consider how to love when we don’t feel like it.
- The Deep Reward Of Discipling Others
Disciple-making is indeed costly — yet it is deeply rewarding, with joys we will not otherwise taste apart from God’s work in and through us in sharing “our own selves” (1 Thessalonians 2:8) with others.
- How Not To Help A Sufferer
Here are four things in particular to avoid when with a sufferer. Think of them as four ways we, like Job’s friends, can pour burning coals on the heads of those already sitting in ashes.
You can also view an archive of recommended discipleship resources here.
EVIDENCES OF GRACE
We are so often blind to the work of God in our lives and tend to see only the areas needing drastic improvement. In reality, God is at work in each of his children and we need to become more aware of it! Yes, we need to know about and grow in those areas needing improvement but we need to be more aware than ever of God's hand of grace in our lives (1 Cor 1:4-7).
HRF DISCIPLESHIP MAP
This Discipleship Map is for the purpose of identifying fellow members of HRF that live in close proximity to one another for the purpose of developing a discipling relationship together. You can access the map at www.hrfellowship.org/map and the password has been emailed to all current members of HRF. If you have problems logging in, please email email@example.com.
