HRF Weekly Update - December 31, 2017

This Sunday, December 31, 2017, we will be having a prayer service for the end of the year. Pastor Miguel will be preaching a short message from Philippians 3:12-16 and fellow members will be leading us in prayer.

We encourage you to prepare for corporate worship by reading and praying through the text prior to the message on Sunday. Here is a list of the songs we will be singing this Sunday as well.

Here are a few discipleship resources our elders recommend checking out this week.

  1. 18 Things To Pray For Your Church - It’s comparatively easy for you and me to pray for ourselves, our families, and our friends. But how can we learn how to pray more fervently and consistently for our local churches?
  2. Don't Be Yourself - Don’t be yourself. Be something higher. Be who God predestined you to be. Be who you are in Jesus.
  3. Bible Reading Plans for 2018 - Many Christians take the beginning of a new year to evaluate their Bible reading habits, and then change or begin a Bible reading plan. Here's a helpful list.

Please read them and use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another. You can also view an archive of recommended discipleship resources here.

We are excited to announce an opportunity to encourage us women to all press forward towards Christ together! Next year, HRF will be hosting a Women's Retreat for the women of HRF. The theme for the 2018 HRF Women's Retreat will be "Gospel, Safety, Time" and should serve as an opportunity for us all to better understand the role we each play in our responsibilities towards one another and cultivating a healthy gospel culture within our church body.
