HRF Weekly Update - December 3, 2017

This Sunday, December 3, 2017, we will continue our series through the book of James. Pastor Miguel will be preaching from James 5:7-12

We encourage you to prepare for corporate worship by reading and praying through the text prior to the message on Sunday. Here is a list of the songs we will be singing this Sunday as well.

Here are a few discipleship resources our elders recommend checking out this week.

  1. 8 Ways To Connect Evangelistically With Family During The Holidays - Many of us will be hanging out with unbelieving family members this Thanksgiving week, and we’re hoping to be a good Christian witness around them. Maybe these ideas will help you move in that direction.
  2. Dealing With Dissapointment - Something doesn’t go as expected. You’re frustrated. Your family, job, friendships, marriage, church—they’re not what you hoped for. How do you as a Christian deal with disappointment?
  3. Things Christians Just Don’t Get To Do - The Christian life is grace and freedom. But grace and freedom mean that there are certain things we just don’t get to do. Here are a few.

Please read them and use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another. You can also view an archive of recommended discipleship resources here.

We are excited to announce an opportunity to encourage us women to all press forward towards Christ together! Next year, HRF will be hosting a Women's Retreat for the women of HRF. The theme for the 2018 HRF Women's Retreat will be "Gospel, Safety, Time" and should serve as an opportunity for us all to better understand the role we each play in our responsibilities towards one another and cultivating a healthy gospel culture within our church body.
