HRF Weekly Update - April 8, 2018

This Sunday, April 8, 2018, Pastor Tony will be preaching from Ephesians 1:15-23.

We encourage you to prepare for corporate worship by reading and praying through the text prior to the message on Sunday.

Here are a few discipleship resources our elders recommend checking out this week.

  • Hearts Set Aflame with Certainty of the Resurrection - The truth of the resurrection is able to set our hearts aflame with love for Jesus.
  • What Our Identity Searches Really Reveal - Virtually every action of our lives is an attempt to answer the question, “Who am I?” You often hear people say things like “Know yourself,” “Be yourself,” or “Stay true to yourself.” These pithy sayings are, as Tim Keller has noted, “self-evident truths” in our society.
  • Read the Bible with Someone Else - God has given us many good ways to read his word. You may have utilized several of them: studiously, devotionally, reflectively, Christologically. But what about communally? Communal reading is when two or more people gather to read, hear, and discuss a written text.

Please read them and use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another. You can also view an archive of recommended discipleship resources here.

HRF will be hosting a Membership Matters class on April 8, 2018 from 1pm - 4pm.

This class is an introduction to our church and the responsibilities of membership. Although it is required in order to become a member of HRF, in no way does participating in the class obligate you to join HRF. We also recommend that existing members attend this class once a year as a refresher on what membership involves in the life of HRF. Lunch and childcare will be provided.

Please RSVP here if you plan to attend.
